Thinking skills nominated for best secondary resource of 2010
Thinking skills is a brand new personal learning and thinking series from Axis Education and a finalist in the 2010 Education Resource Awards.
The awards aim to help teachers by 'identifying resources that are practical, fit for purpose and provide real value for money'. Resources are judged by an independent panel of teaching and learning proffesionals and the winners will be announced at the 2010 Education Show in March.
Thinking skills is the 3rd series in a row from Axis Education to be nominated for an ERA.

- 2009 Finalist - Fair play- Motivational sports based maths series.
- 2010 Finalist - Thinking skills - Personal learning and thinking series.
After many months of hard work we are pleased to announce that the Axis Hands On website has been launched. Axis Hands On is a unique collection of the very best multisensory literacy and numeracy resources for secondary and adult learners.
All Axis Hands On branded resources have been develeoped in association with nasen (the National Association for Special Educational Needs) to ensure they meet the needs of special needs and adult education professionals.

Axis Education at the Education Show, 4th - 6th March 2010
At this year's show as well as our award winning books we will also have Axis Hands On - a brand new range of the very best multi-sensory teaching materials for secondary and adult learners.
Axis Hands On was a great success at the Special Needs London show, the fresh, exciting designs and trademark silver tins were the talk of the exhibition. To find out more come and visit us on stand number E65.

Play on numbers nominated for nasen Pupil book award
We are delighted to be nominated for the second year running for a nasen pupil book award. Play on numbers has been shortlisted for the nasen Book to Support Teaching and Learning - Pupil Book Award 2009. The play on numbers series is graded number puzzles designed to help reinforce basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division skills. The series have been created specifically for older learners who have tried and tried again with basic numeracy and who are fed up with the less than adult approach that some resources take.
At the 2008 nasen awards Axis Education received a double nomination for This life readers and Basic skills for work - with This life readers winning a pupil book and Basic skills for work receiving a highly commended. The nasen Awards promote excellence and good practice in the field of special and additional needs and this years winner will be announced at the Special Needs London event in October.
