Measures shape and space Entry Level 2

Motivational, functional measure shape and space tasks set in workplace contexts. All the Functional Maths tasks in this resource are set in three workplaces – a hotel, a supermarket and a factory. This helps make the activities both real and relevant to students. Knowledge about each workplace and confidence with measure shape and space builds cumulatively as students progress through the levels.

Tasks at Entry Level 2 include calculating change, choosing coins to make amounts of money, giving directions, reading, estimating and comparing units of measure and recognising 2D and 3D shapes. A student checklist, comprehensive teaching notes and answers are included as well as overhead transparency templates for group work.

The clear layout and simple language at Entry Level 2 makes this resource ideal for students with a variety of special educational needs.
